UK pop rock band The Vamps will be returning to Manila for their massive “Middle of The Night Tour” on October 6 at the Ayala Mall, Luna Drive, Vertis North in Quezon City.
Concert promoter MMI Live also confirmed that British pop trio New Hope Club will be joining The Vamps in the said concert. New Hope Club is currently on their second tour with The Vamps delivering unstoppable live shows globally. The trio played their first-ever shows to a crowd of 10,000 fans touring with The Vamps since 2015.
The Vamps burst onto the scene in 2013 debuting Numbers Two, Three and Two with their first three singles (Can We Dance, Wild Heart, Last Night). Their debut album, 2014’s “Meet The Vamps” was another smash then followed by their second album, “Wake Up”.
Their recent tour, which includes the band’s third visit to Manila, is in support of their third album “Night and Day” including the singles “All Night” and “Middle of The Night”. The latest release is actually a two-part album — aka the Night edition and the Day edition—while the rest of the songs are to be released until the end of 2017.
The Vamps– namely Brad Simpson (lead vocals and guitar), James McVey (lead guitar and vocals), Connor Ball (bass guitar and vocals) and Tristan Evans (drums and vocal)– are barely in their twenties but already undertaken two world tours. Within a matter of months the band had sold out London’s 20,000-capacity O2 four times.
The Vamps have also done collaborations with Demi Lovato in the song “Somebody To You”; Brooklyn Beckham who appearedin the “Wake Up” music video; Shawn Mendes who was also featured in “Cecilia”; and 20th Century Fox in a cover version of Carl Douglas’s “Kung Fu Fighting” for Kung Fu Panda 3’s movie soundtrack.
The British group has signed New Hope Club to their label Steady Records, which they founded in 2015.Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson and George Smith—collectively knows as New Hope Club– wrote and recorded the EP “Welcome to the Club” in both England and Los Angeles, teaming up with producers like Red Triangle (Charlie Puth, 5 Seconds of Summer, and The Struts), Khris Lorenz (3Oh!3 and Janoskians), and Isaac Hasson (Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez). The trio released their intensely catchy “Perfume,” a heart-on-sleeve pop number bringing in elements of electronic music and R&B.
